Not all lead gen is created equal. Here's what a real done-for-you outbound system should cover, from data to booked calls.
Done-for-you outbound is a service where an agency runs your entire prospecting motion: targeting, data, messaging, sending across channels, handling replies and booking qualified calls on your calendar. It's different from buying lead lists or getting "interested" replies forwarded to you. A good provider should own the whole process, report weekly and leave the data with you.
Done-for-you outbound means someone else runs the full prospecting process for you. They decide who to target with you, build the lists, write the messages, send them, respond to replies, qualify interest and put the meeting on your calendar.
The key word is full. If you still have to chase replies or build your own lists, it isn't really done for you.
Traditional lead generation often hands you contacts or form fills and stops there. Appointment setting usually starts once a lead exists. Done-for-you outbound covers both, plus the infrastructure in between.
The strongest programs combine channels. Social outreach from your own profile builds personal connection. Cold email reaches more people at lower cost. Content, like short videos from recorded interviews, makes both warmer because prospects already recognize you.
When someone ignores a connection request, an email can still reach them. When they get your email, they may have already seen your video. That stacking effect is why multi-channel usually outperforms any one channel.
Use these questions on any sales call with an outbound agency.
Results depend on your offer, deal size and market. What matters most is consistency: a steady flow of qualified conversations you can plan around. For reference, one RGI Systems email program generated $150K in ARR pipeline in its first 30 days, and content-led programs have produced deals from inbound conversations that outreach started.
Be wary of anyone who promises a fixed number of sales. Good providers commit to activity, quality and transparent reporting, then improve every week.
Plan for a one-hour onboarding call, quick messaging approvals and showing up prepared for booked calls. If content is part of the plan, expect a short recorded interview each month. Everything else should be on the provider.
